About Jennifer Romen Workshop Urban Contemporary
When Jennifer was 12, she was inspired by Michael Jackson to start dancing. Her mother saw the potential she had in her and took her to different dance schools. Jennifer grew quickly and, as a soloist, soon took part in hip-hop battles and competitions.
Highlights such as winning the European Championship three times, winning the World Championship three times and winning the World Dance Sport Games in Taiwan made Jennifer a household name in the Urban dance scene.
Jennifer is currently active as a successful choreographer, both commercially and in the theater world. She specializes in isolations and the fusion of Contemporary and hip-hop, called Urban/Contemporary, and her work is known for outstanding creativity, innovation and the use of visual illusions.
About Emma Evelein Workshop Urban Contemporary Repertoire & Creation
This workshop is focused on Urban/Contemporary techniques like improvisation, musicality, stamina, and the challenge to search for your own creativity. Dancers in the workshop are challenged to visit different tasks, musicality, creativity, and different aspects of the contemporary and urban dance styles in which the main directions are individuality and expression. To dive deeper into the language, Emma will teach repertoire from various projects and work on new material with the dancers, applying her creation methods.
